Subject: [aaslforum] webinar about the Learning Commons

A week or so ago, I announced a free webinar that Carol Koechlin and I did tothe
Calgary Board of Education. The recording of that webinar is at:
https://sas.elluminate.com/p.jnlp?psid=2012-04-25.0539.M.285594C7A5F24605F68F893946B709.vcr&sid=367

We cover basic elements but also what we have learned about the concept over the
last five years

Next Monday, we will be conducting a full day bookcamp in Calgary as a
followup. Folks will be creating a virtual learning commons, a physical
learning commons idea bank, knowledge building centers, Book2Cloud learning
experiences, personal learning environments, and having a lot of fun doing it.

Nine schools there have received an autonomous grant to transform their
libraries and computer labs into a LC.
