[CASL-L] Online Masters in Library Science

I endorse Southern CT State University. It prepared me well for life in the
school library (and beyond if I so chose). I could've taken courses
completely online; however, I love being on a campus. I did about a 50/50
split. Back when I was getting my degree, I did at least one course that
was 3 credits in 3 weekends. We would be on campus Friday night and all day
Saturday, then we would do our coursework in between those three weekends.
Not sure if that option is still offered, but it was fantastic. Dr. Jane
McGinn led it. I still remember her name! I also took an intense summer
course (two weeks every day on campus) on Storytelling. At the time, I
didn't think I'd ever use the material, as a high school teacher. Years
later in 2010 I found myself at a K - 9th grade library (where I still am
though now we have pre-K). I still use info learned in that storytelling
class regularly!

Feel free to have your friend reach out if she would like more information.

Best,
~Val
(VP of CASL, too!)
