Hi all,

I genrefied our middle school library last year!

Here are the things that I found helpful:

   - If you can, buy genre spine labels stickers in all the genres you plan
   to have.
   - With a scanner and laptop, scan each book into Titlewave to see the
genre tags and add the appropriate sticker to the spine.
   - When I couldn't find something, I'd check to see what readers tagged
the book as on Goodreads to inform my decision.
   - I weeded as I went, since I had to pick up each book.
   - Once everything was labeled, I started shifting books around by
working one genre at a time.

The best thing about this, for me, was that last year was my first year and
it really helped me to get to know my collection. It also makes readers
advisory so much easier!

Feel free to reach out with any questions and good luck! I think it's worth
the time it takes to do.

-Nicole
