[CASL-L] Virtual and augmented reality

Hi Melissa,

In our district we have a set of ClassVR headsets that our tech teachers
lend to classrooms and they also help support us when we are teaching with
them. Our upper elementary students have used them for exploring landmarks
and famous places, I just used them for a unit on India with our 6th grade
SS classes. I will be doing another unit on China with the 6th grade SS
classes. ClassVR has a database with 360 degree pictures, explorable scenes
(explored with controllers), and explorable objects. The headsets aren't
perfect and we've had to work through some glitches, but overall
the students really like them. The ClassVR database contents pairs
especially well with SS classes and World Language.
