[CASL-L] NEASC inventory

Hi Kara,

I can definitely provide some insight. Is this your collaborative visit
or decennial visit? The new 2024 standards include explicit language
regarding DEIB and libraries. Regardless, of the above here are some
things I would do:

1. I would ask which standard they are writing about that they want to
include the information. (This will help guide you in providing relevant
information.)
2. I would NOT include an inventory unless the person collecting the
information has an understanding of what constitutes a strong library
collection. Rather, I would run a Collection Analysis in Titlewave and
provide that information and ask them to provide a list or narrative on how
you curate your collection. (Or what you would do if you had ...X)

Please feel free to reach out with any questions. This is making me think
this might be a topic for CASL PD. I have attended the NEASC Chairs Summer
Workshop, my department leader chairs multiple visits a year, and my
husband is now an associate director for NEASC, so if I don't know the
answer, I can find it for you.

Good luck,
Jessica
