Dear AASLforum,
Last summer, the Center for Digital Literacy at Syracuse University received an IMLS grant for Project ENABLE (Expanding Nondiscriminatory Access By Librarians Everywhere), providing training to collaborative teams of school librarians, general educators and special educators in New York State schools on ways to provide more effective library and information services and programs to students with disabilities. Thirty-six teams of educators (more than 100 participants) participated in these five-day workshops, all expenses paid.  We are also building a freely available, accessible Web site so that those who do not have the opportunity to participate f2f can access the workshop content in the form of interactive learning modules.

Now, we have an opportunity to extend our funding so that we can again offer our f2f workshops to librarians beyond New York in the summer of 2013. In order to do this, we need to demonstrate that there is a need in the broader school library community for such workshops.

If you live in a state other than New York or if you live in New York State but did not participate in Project ENABLE in summer 2011, please consider participating in our brief survey by Nov. 13, 2011. The survey will help us understand whether there is a need and the extent of that need.

Just go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/876SRJ2 , complete all ten items (it will take less than 5 minutes), and press DONE. That’s all there is to it.

Thank you so much.
