Hi all...

I know we come across loads of new Web 2.0 tools to try every day and many of them are 'fly-by-nights'  that shut down, merge, get sold, or become too expensive to justify.  Recently, several bloggers suggested trying out a new service called Pearltrees.  I have to say that it is one of the finest new collaborative resources I've seen in a long time.

I'm not going to go into the details of the product, because seeing is believing in this case.  The links below will take you to two examples where I have used Pearltrees.

***NOTE--While Pearltrees is phenomenal (in my humble opinion) there is a distinct possibility that it will be blocked at your school.  Nevertheless, it is great for collaboration between colleagues outside of school.

1)   This Google Site is made up entirely of Pearltrees and Google Crowdsourced Presentations.  It was used to teach a recent workshop for ESOL teachers.

2)   This individual Pearltree has links to sites for getting book recommendations:

By the way, if you use a bookmarking service like Diigo or Google Bookmarks, it's great to build Pearltrees based on what you've already gathered.

It will be interesting to see whether Pearltrees catches on with the LMS community.     Thanks for reading....
