AASL Members,
We’ve received a request from a national publication looking to speak with school librarians from schools or school districts that cut back or eliminated library services then restored them and tracked the difference in student achievement, literacy, and school culture. They would like to have a few examples of districts where either parents or school staff have worked hard to restore libraries at school sites and could talk about the tangible difference it made.
If you are from a school or school district as described above and are willing to talk with the writer, please email me off list at jhabley@ala.org.
Thank you,
Jen
