Coming to Your Neighborhood!


Don't miss out and join colleagues and peers for a focused and interactive learning event taking place near you!  Attend the AASL 2012 Fall Forum satellite site in Doylestown, PA, from October 12-13, 2012, and you won't miss a minute of the programming taking place in Greenville, SC. Less than an hour from Philadelphia and connected by a regional rail line, Doylestown is known for its lively downtown area, quaint shops, and excellent restaurants. Enjoy history, art and theatre in the county seat or take in the fall colors at any of the 13 covered bridges in Bucks County.

This year's Fall Forum, Transliteracy and the School Library Program, is designed to help school librarians develop strategies to effectively integrate transmedia skills into the curriculum creating opportunities for students and teachers to engage in the participatory online environment. Kristin Fontichiaro and R. David Lankes will join media studies scholar, Henry Jenkins, in providing a comprehensive overview of the importance of participatory culture in education.
