Hello everyone,

I wanted to take a moment and send out a quick reminder about a
publishing opportunity. My co-editors, Rebecca Miller, Carolyn Meier,
and I will be publishing a second book with ALA Editions. This one
will be titled "Tablet Computers in School Libraries and Classrooms."
We are looking for chapter and lesson plan proposals for our book.
There are so many wonderful projects occurring with iPads, and other
tablet computers in the field of school librarianship and education
and we would love to share some of your experiences. Chapter proposals
might include topics focused on instruction, collaboration,
professional development, use of tablets within or outside of the
school building, training, how librarians are learning about this
technology, and more. Lesson plans should be active in learning, user
friendly, and allow for multiple grade level integration. We only need
a paragraph or two for the chapter/lesson proposal. Please send a
short resume as well so we can learn more about you.

We are accepting proposals until September 15th. If you have any
questions feel free to contact us at tabletsinschoollibs@gmail.com and
please visit our website for more information about the upcoming book
at http://tabletsinschoolibs.wix.com/home#!
