Once I find out what is going on with PEAC next week, I would be more than happy to have a round table discusssion on LMS evaluations and what the State is considering.  I can share the recommendations made to PEAC and also explain what the State's response has been.

Hmm, sounds like an unconference possibility at the conference next month.  I'm sure we can find a time & place to get together and just share thoughts & strategies.

My school is also participating in the pilot this year – we only have 1 school in the district and I’m the only LMS – would love ANY input anyone can provide – feeling a bit lost.

Haven't read the book yet, but I know that our CASL vice president, Mary Ellen Minichiello, is working with the state on specifics for our profession.  I have cc'd her so that she can also respond.  It should work well with AASL national standards since they align with the Common Core.  See the Common Core Crosswalk which explains the alignment in detail.

Any idea if it also ties in with Connecticut's forthcoming teacher evaluation rubrics (for which, if I understand correctly, they're still working on the teacher librarian piece)?  My district is a pilot for the new evaluation procedure.
