Save the date for AASL13!
The AASL 16th National Conference & Exhibition will take place November 14-17, 2013, in Hartford, CT.
Mark your calendars now for the only national conference dedicated solely to the needs of school librarians and their roles as educational leaders. Taking place November 14-17, in Hartford, CT, "Rising to the Challenge" will feature preconference workshops, concurrent sessions, and an exhibition featuring companies relevant to the school library profession. More information on the conference, including special events, author appearances, and keynote presenters is coming soon to the national conference website, but there are two ways you can get involved now!

AASL is accepting proposals for concurrent sessions to be held Friday, November 15 and Saturday, November 16, 2013. Concurrent sessions are 75-minutes in length and proposals should focus on one of the content strands, including Common Core State Standards; leadership; literacy and reading; program administration; teaching and learning; or authors. The submission deadline has been extended to Monday, November 12, 2012.

AASL is also applications for one group of 20-30 volunteers to participate in a blind review and scoring of two sets of proposals for the national conference. This volunteer position is essential to conference planning! Apply now to participate in the review and scoring of concurrent session and for the best practice showcase proposals.
