You can set the calendar any way you need to in the calendar preferences – a week at a time. You can exclude weekends. When you embed, you can “bundle” all
of the calendars into one calendar so staff can view all of the “layers” of the calendar at one time. If you want to see what it looks like, you can click on the Library Calendar link in the upper right of the Sage Park library home page.
http://www.windsorct.org/sagelmc/. You will notice right now, that this calendar is copy and pasted. This is because Windsor is not a Google district. We offer teachers email through Outlook, not Google email.
And it looks like our district is going to stick with Outlook and Office for email and docs rather than shifting to Google. This means that we are going to have to look for another calendar option at Sage Park because, again, in order for your district users
to see all of the detail in your library calendars, they must be signed into Google with a Google email/Google district email login. Otherwise, all your users will see is Free/Busy on the calendar.

Do you have to be logged in to view each space(calendar) separately or to move from one month to another?
Does the embed code pull the multiple weeks together onto 1 page? Viewing a week at a time makes a lot of sense.
Looks great & thanks

Tom, Sage Park has been using Google calendar for a long time to manage sign ups for all computer labs and library spaces. We made a separate calendar for each library space and then combined
them all into one calendar and linked it to our library web site so you could see all of the spaces at the same time, or you could view each space separately. We let teachers view the calendar, but then they had to email us to tell us what we they wanted
reserved. Librarians only would put the reservations on the calendar because it kept us in the loop with where we were needed in the building. Also, if teachers needed extra equipment we would know far in advance. It was/is an excellent system to discard
your paper sign out books!

Good Morning Fellow Librariae,
We are now a 'Google school' and I'd like to use google calendar for signing up / displaying bookings for computer labs, carts, and resources. I want to know how some of your schools might handle using google calendar for these purposes.
I want teachers to see the bookings and be able to 'book' thier own times into the calendar for these resources. But maybe to keep it orderly library staff should be the ones updating the calendar bookings.
How might you be utilizing google calendar? Best practices?
Thanks folks,
Thomas
