We’ve subscribed to Discovery Streaming for about five years and if I stopped it my staff would KILL me! I did do an entire staff training about five years ago showing how to link videos to their webpages and
I created a generic student login so teachers could post videos to be watched for homework. The Science Discovery was awesome when it was free through the state but for us it cost prohibitive.
I also show the students how to use it for research…or for fun and they all can access it from home as well.
I administer the accounts so at the beginning of every school year I go into the admin area and have discovery send all my teachers their login information again, just as a reminder.

I second the positive comments about DiscoveryEducation--and the reluctance/ignorance on the part of teachers to make use of them. In addition, DiscoveryEducation holds EXCELLENT, FREE one-day workshops in the area (greater Boston).
