celebration on February 6, the Alliance has brought together education experts to share the best practices in digital learning and how to improve the educational experience and outcomes for all students in a series of live online chats. Experts will lead interactive sessions on instructional practices, including Facebook “Takeover” by U.S. Representative George Miller, Senior Democratic Member of the U.S. House Education and the Workforce Committee, and a “Special Edition” moderated chat featuring PBS education correspondent John Merrow, USA Today education reporter Greg Toppo, Alliance for Excellent Education President and former West Virginia Governor Bob Wise, and moderator Jill Barshay of the Hechinger Report. (Directions on how to access these chats appear at the bottom of this email). Chats will include teachers, district leaders, and other educators
implementing successful digital learning strategies and practices in their schools. Topics will focus on lesson plans with digital learning, planning and implementing instructional strategies, promising practices within and among states, and showcasing student work through digital learning.
