2013 Nutmeg Voting is coming soon!
April will be here before we know it and I know many of you are looking forward to celebrating this year’s nominees and finding out which books the students choose as the winners!
The link for submitting your total votes will be available on the Nutmeg Website April 1 through April 30.
Printable ballots are available on the Nutmeg Website under the Lists, then Book Resources.

You can have students vote online using Google Forms!
Here is a copy of a Google Form you can copy and use in your library.
Here’s how:
Log into Google
Click on the Intermediate or Teen link below
Go to your Google Drive. The Google Form spreadsheet for voting should be listed as one of your files.
Check the box next to the file
New menu choices should now appear across the top of your file list.
Click on More, then choose the option to Make a copy
You should now have 2 new files that says ‘Copy of 2013 Teen (or Intermediate) Nutmeg Voting’ and one that says ‘Copy of 2013 Teen (or Intermediate) Nutmeg Voting (Responses)’
You are now the owners of these copied files and you can rename, personalize for your library, and view the results.

CONFERENCE NEWS
If you missed us at the CASL/CLC Mini Conference this past weekend, look for us again at the CLA Conference the end of April.
We will have labels and copies of the 2014 nominees for sale and will give away 2 more sets of the nominees (level of your choice) from Bound To Stay Bound.

These lists are available to SCHOOL and PUBLIC LIBRARIANS ONLY. Please don't share it with the general public (students, parents, etc.) until MAY 1, 2013.

The Nutmeg Book Award encourages children in grades 4-12 to read quality literature and to choose their favorite from a list of ten nominated titles. Jointly sponsored by the Connecticut Library Association (CLA) and the Connecticut Association of School Librarians (CASL), the Nutmeg Committee is comprised of children's librarians and school library media specialists who are members of our sponsoring organizations.
