REGISTER HERE for the webinar.

Presenter: Amy Jo Southworth, High School Librarian, Bay Shore High School, Bay Shore, NY

Amy Jo Southworth will talk about how technology is authentically applied throughout the library program. VIP members use Edmodo and Destiny Quest to discover new titles, share ideas, and recommend books. The library website links to dynamic wikis created for class projects. Students use wikis to research, curate, and share their own information. iPads and iPod touches loaded with educational apps are used by students as well as Nooks loaded with popular titles. Students master Common Core skills as they create video book trailers that become scan-ready QR codes displayed on books throughout the library. Technology is a vehicle that propels learning in the BSHS library learning commons!
