I'm in a middle school. I set my series books in a separate section. After the call number I put an S and put a small round red sticker on the binding for easy shelving. I keep a notebook at the shelf with each of the complete series listed. If I'm missing a book in a series, it is marked with an asterisk. This enables me to easily complete my series collections when ordering books. I also did the same for a section I call Quick Reads for my reluctant and lower level readers. On their call numbers I have added QR and put a green circle sticker on the binding for easy shelving as well.  This seems to be working fine and the students appreciate having separate sections.

I made series lists with pictures of the book covers (in color) that are in a plastic stand on the tops of the shelves.  The books are alphabetical by author only.

I am at the elementary level, but I have created a series shelf for my students. In Destiny, we simply put (Series) after the call number. My students know to look on the series shelf. That was simplest for us.

We also have genre-ized our fiction. The students love it because they can easily find what they like to read.

I feel a bit awkward asking this, but…

I’m looking for any kind of info related to cataloguing and shelving series fiction.  Anyone follow their own rules to make it easier for your students to identify them, search them, and/or find them on your shelves.
