Good afternoon,

Briefly:

Gale confirms that your library’s iCONN/Gale usage statistics will remain available to you  for up to 3 years.

Details:

The following clarification statement is directly from Gale:

“Libraries can continue to obtain stats after June 30.   The good news is Gale will continue to make data available for up to three years.

Access to Gale Admin will remain active for all iCONN accounts. Usage statistics and report data will continue to be available.  Gale provides three years of historical usage data for libraries to pull for reporting needs.

Libraries will continue to receive emailed monthly reports.

The key change is that access to Gale products provided by iCONN will expire on June 30, 2013 which is the last day of our existing subscription agreement.

In summary, everything regarding obtaining usage statistics and reports will stay the same as it is now.   All accounts (locids) will remain active and the only changes will be the statewide iCONN databases from Gale will be deactivated for access effective July 1 when the subscription agreement expires on June 30, 2013. Any databases or online resources for which libraries subscribe directly with Gale are not affected.”

Thank you to Jackie Sullivan at Gale for clarifying this for us.

Regards,

Steve
