I was asked to share this information with our members--I don't know anything more than what they've sent here, but thought there may be some interest among our members:
Children's book authors Kelly Starling Lyons and Gwendolyn Hooks are presenters for the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) conference in November. Their program is called Celebrating Diversity: The Brown Bookshelf Salutes Great Books for Kids.
Kelly and Gwen are children's book authors who regularly visit schools and libraries. They'd love to be considered for author visits while they're in Hartford.
