Hi Everyone,
We hand out passes to freshmen and sophomores starting at 7 am.  Juniors and seniors do not need passes.  The passes have their names; whether or not they need a computer or are they looking to use library resources; what subject they are working on; the period they are coming in.  They add their name to our list that is sectioned by periods. They can get passes from us in between periods or from their teachers if they are working on a specific assignment, though 95% of students get passes from us.  
After checking in with study hall, they then use a computer sign in program, created using file pro, to sign in. We print off the sheets every afternoon and keep a copy of them.  This we find helpful to present data, when needed.  In the fall 2014, we  hope to place a barcode on the student id so they can scan in.
