We’ve been ordering Demco headphones.

And I recently got a quote for 600 headphones that brought down the price to roughly $6.50 each.

I like the coiled cord because then students don’t get tangled in the cord (especially the younger students).

The earcups are wipe-able.
Occasionally I get a complaint that these are too large for the primary children – but that is only occasionally.

In the end, I feel like we are always ordering headphones – there’s never enough.
But these are as durable as they come.  Yes, they sometimes break, but where you have students you will find a broken set of headphones where you won’t understand how in the heck the headphones got broken.

These are the headphones we ordered for testing.  We've used them for about a year.  So far, so good.  Also, they're easy to clean.

Subject: [CASL-L] headsets

Hi,

My district needs to purchase headsets that will be used primarily for testing purposes, K-12.   I am looking for recommendations for any that have worked well for you.  Have you found that it is more cost effective to purchase more heavy-duty ones that have an extended life expectancy, or cheap single use ones?  Do you use a different model for elementary than for secondary?

Thank you!
