Hi Paxton,
I believe strongly in using Google Docs for lab sign-ups. We have seven different rooms that are available for sign out and no one wants to open up seven different calendars to see what is free. I sent you a link (separate email) so you can see that I set it up in chart form. Teachers type their names into the squares where appropriate. Teachers sign up by block, whereas Google or Outlook calendars are run by hours on the clock. Also, as Jenny said, you can look at the revision history to see if anyone erased anyone else. If anyone else would like to see out lab sign-up sheets, send me a reply and I’ll add you as a viewer.
Thanks,
Tracy Earnshaw

Subject: [CASL-L] computer lab or cart scheduling
We have quite a few computer labs and carts here and i am one person responsible for scheduling them. Right now we use a giant paper calender per lab and it has worked out ok. Conflicts have arisen about who signed up for what period first and people wanting to schedule from home, poor hand writing etc. Does anyone use technology to schedule labs or carts like a google spread sheet or calender or other means.
