#TumblarianProblems: Creating and Curating Your Tumblr Blog

Event Type: On-site Webinar
Date: 2/6/2014
Start Time: 2:15 PM
End Time: 4:00 PM

Description:

An ALA TechSource Workshop
A growing number of libraries are discovering Tumblr’s goldmine of sharing and community-building—more than 150 libraries and archives appear in a recent list. Hundreds more individual librarians are sharing news and advice, best practices, reading lists, book reviews, and lesson plans. With Tumblr, you can get the latest news about the content your users love from the creators and publishers themselves, from books and movies to literary magazines, comics, and more. What’s more, the platform makes sharing video, audio and images a cinch.
In this workshop Kate Tkacik, the noted Tumblarian of shhh! no running in the library!, will show how Tumblr’s built-in community of readers can help you spread the library love to a larger network.
