I like Screencast-O-Matic also. The subscription is inexpensive, $15-20/year? it's easy to edit and embed in a website. It has some advantages over Jing, which is free. The basic subscription of Screencast-O-Matic allows you to record each video to up to 15 min in length, it's hosted on the SOM website and can be revised and edited at any time later. Jing limits you to 5 minutes and is a one-shot recording.

Subject: [CASL-L] screencasts

Hi Everyone,

Can someone suggest a basic tool for creating a screencast?  I want to try to create one explaining how to use a tech tool for teachers.  I also want to be able to easily post it on my library's website for teachers to access as "on demand" PD.  Thanks!

Kate
