This book tackles the subject of self-esteem, feelings, body changes, and love in a language that helps young people understand the transformation that takes place during puberty. Vermond balances subject matter with questions for the reader to internalize both the content and feelings. Kid-friendly terms help explain related scientific research. Each chapter consists of a combination of text boxes, illustrations, graphs, and a big question that aids in dissecting topics and eases readability.
