Thank you to all who have completed this survey so far. I would like to hear from more of you to get a deeper sense of the range of opinions, so I am writing once more to invite you to participate in my study, “Critical for Teaching and Learning”: The Role of School Media Specialists in Implementing Common Core Standards for Reading Informational Texts. (IRB #:13-4000)

I am researching elementary school media specialists’ attitude, practices, and barriers in supporting student learning of informational texts in light of new Common Core Standards. This study is part of my MSLS degree program at UNC Chapel-Hill.
