All 500 of our freshmen write research papers on controversial topics, so I am familiar with this type of resource.  In addition to using procon.org, which I like, we also subscribe to three databases:

Issues and Controversies by ABC-Clio
Opposing Viewpoints by Gale
Points of View by Ebsco

I think Points of View has the best interface and articles for students working at a remedial level.

We subscribe to the Issues and Controversies database, which is great, but some teachers are looking for similar resources that are more accessible to students with lower reading levels.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
