Continuing the dialog
Rebecca T. Miller, Editor-in-Chief

Rebecca Miller
SLJ’s Day of Dialog yesterday was a smashing success with librarians, publishers, and authors mingling and exchanging ideas in New York’s McGraw-Hill building; Jacqueline Woodson keynoted the event and shared her writing process for her memoir Brown Girl Dreaming (releasing in August by Penguin), a feat she says took three years to complete and involved multiple trips to speak to family in the South and Ohio.

The event was a great lead into BookExpo America kicking off today until May 31—visit us at the Librarian’s Lounge at booth #663, and download SLJ’s BEA Guide to Advanced Readers’ Copies and Signings and Library Journal’s Galley and Signing Guide for adult books.
