Introduction to Google Apps 7/14 in Middletown

Google is way more than a search engine…and way more than just email! Google Apps includes Drive, Calendar, Maps, Play, and more! Did you know you can conduct surveys with Google Forms? Create events and invitations with Google+? In this 3 hour, hands-on workshop, Jennifer Doyon will show you many things Google Apps has to offer. 

 

The Accidental Copy-Cataloger 7/22  (morning) in Middletown
Cataloging Consultant Dodie Gaudet explains the bibliographic record and helps you decide whether or not to attach your holdings to what you’ve found. This workshop is appropriate for copy catalogers, new catalogers and anyone wanting a review of current cataloging rules (AACR2 and RDA). The workshop is not intended to address practices of any specific library system or network.

 

The Accidental Cataloger looks at MARC 7/22  (afternoon) in Middletown

The instruction will take you through the administrative side of Libguides and allow you to learn how to create pages, add documents and widgets, display books that link to your catalog, view page statistics, and much more.

RDA for Music: Scores (Music Library Association webinar) 7/31 in Middletown
In this webinar, Nancy Lorimer and Kevin Kishimoto will teach you the basics of cataloging music scores using RDA: Resource Description and Access, the new global cataloging standard and successor to AACR2. This workshop will be invaluable for anyone who catalogs music scores.
