2014 Horn Book at Simmons

EARLY BIRD RATE EXPIRES ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 15th!

On October 10–11, join us in Boston, MA for the 2014 Horn Book at Simmons Colloquium, MIND THE GAPS, a memorable two-day event celebrating the best in children’s and young adult literature.

Our program features 2014 Boston-Globe Horn Book award recipients including:
Peter Brown (Picture Book Award/Mr.Tiger Goes Wild)
Steve Sheinkin (Nonfiction Award/The Port Chicago 50)
Andrew Smith (Fiction Award/Grasshopper Jungle)
Patricia Hruby Powell & Christian Robinson (Nonfiction honor/Josephine)
Vaunda Micheaux Nelson (2012 Boston Globe-Horn Book fiction award winner for No Crystal Stair)

The Colloquium will take a hard look at the current state of publishing and what’s missing in children’s literature. It will provide insights and conversation about how to fill these gaps to effectively serve all of your young readers. Additionally, we’ll get personal with the 2014 Boston Globe–Horn Book award recipients as we take a close look inside their work.
