You can't record your own audiobooks. Unless they are in the public domain, the publisher or author holds the rights to creating audio versions of the texts. I don't know who created the YouTube channel you linked to or what authority they have - but my suspicion is that it is not a legal source of audio books. It requires more investigation to be sure.
Convincing teachers of that is a whole other story.

I feel as though I just came through black hole & missed the last couple of decades (Interstellar). I've spent budget monies on digital audio which is now free(?) Also, the access is so much easier than our purchased digital copies. Search for the title audio book, click the play button & there are all the chapters, and full audio version, and simultaneous use!
What are you providing for curriculum digital audio books?
