Good morning everyone,

Please excuse the cross postings.

RILINK is extremely pleased to announce Dr. Cheryl McCarthy, Interim Dean of University Libraries at the University of Rhode Island, as the keynote speaker for "Navigating Student Learning:  Charting K16 Digital and Information Fluencies." Most of us know Dr. McCarthy from her role as professor and School Library Program Director at the Graduate School of Library and Information Studies.

We're excited to draw upon Dr. McCarthy's new experience in an academic library setting to help us make connections stressing the importance of the continuum of library programs and services from primary through post-secondary education.

The conference dates are August 11 & 12 at The East Bay Educational Collaborative in Warren, Rhode Island.

Offerings at the conference will include sessions on the preparation of K12 patrons for post secondary success related to information and digital fluencies, the role of the SLMS in implementation of 1:1 technology initiatives, LibGuides CMS v2; the most recent update of Destiny, Follett's Classroom Connections, World Book, and more!

Watch the list and www.rilink.org for more details about sessions and registration.

Cheers!

Sharon
