Join us for the seventh annual Teen Summit on Wednesday October 7 at the Beechwood Hotel in Worcester MA to “Connect the Dots”

Why attend the Teen Summit? Comments from last year’s event: “Just like last year, I found this event to be incredibly valuable! It is so awesome to spend the day with other YA colleagues, swapping ideas and inspiration. I definitely came away with new programming ideas and felt very invigorated. This conference is such a great value.”

“Thank you all for a wonderful program! The teen summit was inspiring, and all of the presenters did a wonderful job presenting usable material. This was by far the best summit I have attended. I look forward to next year!”

“I have attended the Teen Summit every year, and they are better ever year. This year was no exception.”

What can you expect this year? Walk away inspired by keynote speaker Crystle Martin talking about “Connected Learning in Practice: Youth Supported Learning in Libraries”. Learn about how you can connect with teens and your community in two breakout sessions: “Teens & Tech: Connecting the Past to the Future” presented by Kate Wells and Shannon Lake of the Providence Public Library’s Teen Tech Squad and Jessi Snow, Teen Services Team Leader, talking about the new Teen Central space at the Boston Public Library in “What Worked: Creating a Teen Space at the Central Boston Public Library”.

Need a crafty break? Join the Pinterest Party to try your hand at MacGyver crafting!

We’re also planning to hear from YOU during our school/public library collaboration “Shout & Share” – step up to the mic town hall style and give us your best idea for working together!

Registration fee is for meals including a selection of breakfast sandwiches, coffee & tea in the morning and a choice of lunch options with salad as well as dessert and coffee in the afternoon.

Registration Deadlines:September 25 (check) and September 29 (credit card). Registration forms and more information including the day’s agenda can be found at http://guides.masslibsystem.org/youthservices/ts
