Thursday night features an interactive workshop sponsored by the Harry Potter Alliance that will explore how to transfigure the pop culture passions of young people into real-world civic engagement. Or attendees can pop over to the Storytelling Festival as spell-binding performers celebrate the everyday and fantastic in a casual evening of traditional and original tales. Later that evening be sure to stop by the Hack the Association event where attendees can crowd-source questions related to creating an inclusive environment within AASL. Friday night kicks off with the Author Banquet featuring Matt de la Pena, Sonia Manzano, and Rita Williams-Garcia. Later Friday night join your colleagues and share your thoughts on a set of topics for the informal peer-to-peer learning that is (un)Conference.
