Our latest templates are as follows:I will also be presenting a session about this and other topics at AASL in Columbus on Saturday of the conference at 9am.You can see our webmixes for the Virtual Makerspace at: http://www.symbaloo.com/mix/virtualmakerspaceCarol Koeschlin and I are also presenting about the learning commons at 9am Pacific time at the same link. The Library 2.014 conference, tomorrow Oct. 20 at 4pm Pacific time at: http://www.library20.com/2015My graduate students at the School of Information, San Jose State University have just released Symbaloo webmixes designed to compliment physical makerspaces in the K-12 environment. Thus, in addition to "making" in the school library, we have assembled "apps" that encourage children and teens to create, build, experiment with, invent, and other creation activities. We searched out apps that are more creation rather than "instructional." in nature. And, we tried to include a variety of apps that could be done with a minimal amount of adult intervention. We are making a number of presentations to introduce this concept:My class will also be presenting at the Treasure Mt. Research Retreat Nov. 4-5 just before AASL from noon to noon. There are a few seats left for Tres. Mt. and it it free. Let me know if you want to come (reader.david@gmail.com)This entire project is part of a larger effort to provide the profession with free downloadable templates to replace the school library website with a very participatory Virtual Learning Commons.
