I recommend http://www.littlebirdtales.com

We use the free version (though there is a paid upgrade). You can upload pictures or draw on the computer. You can type in text and record voices. We are using it again this year for third graders who are creating their own stories.

I am using Piktocharts with grade 4 right now.  It is an infographic maker.  It’s web based and free.  www.piktochart.com  It does require an email address to set up the account for each student.  I made a dummy account with gmail and then had each student create one with +1, +2, +3 etc.

Subject: [CASL-L] Seeking digital tool suggestions

Now that my school finally has reliable wifi, and enough working computers, I am looking for digital product making ideas, that are free, not too difficult, and engaging for grade 4 students, some of whom have not had a lot of computer experience.

Thank you
