As far as I know there is a recommended number of titles per student but I don't think there is a mandated requirement. That being said, considering the overwhelming and vast expanse of digital content and access, # of books per student is quickly becoming an obsolete statistic in my view. I am for 25 per student. I think that was the 'magic number.'

Anyone else?

Hi,

I want to dismantle reference and weed our collection which I know many of
you have already done; however, we are a very small HS library. I am
wondering if there is still a Connecticut requirement regarding the number
of print books per student where I will get in hot water for reducing our
overall holdings. Can anyone help?
