10:00am Positioning Your Library As An Essential Service with Libby Post
Middletown

You may consider your library an essential service but does your community? This workshop helps you unlock the secrets of developing a compelling brand and marketing campaign for your library. Libraries today are competing against Barnes and Noble, megaplexes and the Internet—being your community’s library just isn’t a strong enough brand anymore. Through a values-based brand, you’ll give your community the emotional hook it needs to see your library as essential—just like fire, police, education and health care.

Wednesday, December 9

Thursday, December 17
9:30am Grant Project Series: Outcome Based Evaluations 101

Middletown

Outcomes measure the success of a program through benefits and changes to participants, and they show whether your program or service is meeting its intended goals. Increasingly, grantors and donors want to know what will change as a result of their financial support, and grant applications often require an evaluation plan with information about intended outcomes. Evaluations also help you revise and improve your programs and services along the way. In this workshop, learn how to design a program evaluation plan based on qualitative outcomes rather than quantitative outputs.
