Hi Janet! Great questions. Ellington HS is looking into offering both the Seminar and the Research course offerings, perhaps beginning the year after next.
I inquired with my administrators about introducing the two courses here at the HS after chatting with folks at Taft School who were running the classes. I hope to have more information to share as time goes on.

Subject: [CASL-L] AP Capstone Research Course?
Is anyone involved in the AP Capstone research course in their school? One of the teachers in my building is getting the Capstone Seminar training this summer, and I'm interested in teaching the Research class;
but only if it can realistically be run with once a week class meetings and most of the work being done in independent study and 1:1 time with students. I've read many of the course documents on the College Board website, and it seems feasible to run
it that way, but if any of you have first-hand experience/knowledge, I'd love to hear about it!
