At my grade 3-4 school, there are only a few, worn Goosebumps books which have a couple of loyal followers. These followers would like me purchase new books. Follett lists the interest level as grades 5-8 and the reading level as between grades 2 and 3. I am hesitant to purchase any of these books as they have always frightened me! However, my own son read them avidly when he was in 3rd grade and was not upset by them. (Note, there are plenty of these books at the grade 5-6 school which could be borrowed. Also the grade 3-4 school has all of James Preller's scary stories which are very age appropriate.)
