The American Association of School Librarians (AASL) invites doctoral students and professors to submit their interest to be part of the Causality: School Libraries and Student Success (CLASS) Research Summit in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, April 7, 2016. More information can be found at www.ala.org/aasl/CLASS.

The CLASS Summit II intends to bring a national focus and agenda to research surrounding causal evidence that school libraries make positive contributions to student achievement. It seeks to deepen the research agendas of scholars concerned with school libraries in an intensive one-day meeting.  The event will host 50 participants including 20 doctoral students and 30 professors and will become an ongoing national research summit to ensure continuous strives in school library causal research.

Applicants must submit a one-page cover letter and two-page curriculum vitae no later than Feb. 7, 2016. Applicants will be notified of final decisions by Feb. 15, 2016. Full details on required application materials and participant requirements can be found at www.ala.org/aasl/CLASS.
