I always liked that book "How Are You Peeling" by Joost Elffers and Saxton Freymann. It's a book that uses foods to describe moods. Perfect for early elementary.

Hi,

I'm in a K-2 school.  My cafeteria staff approached me about doing something fun with the lunch menu for Children's Book week in May. (I'm thrilled they came to me!)

I'm looking for creative ideas - to connect books with "what's for lunch."

They always do green eggs for us on Dr. Seuss' birthday, so we want something different. I've thought of the Very Hungry Caterpillar and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, but I'm stuck after that.  We are looking for a whole week's worth.   I looked online - thought menu/book combos would pop right up, but I didn't find anything.  Any suggestions would be welcome!

Thanks in advance.

Pam
