How Did They Do It?
A Multi-Year, Multi-Partner, IMLS Grant Project

Date: Thursday, May 19, 2016

Time: 10:00am - 1:00pm

Location: Middletown Library Service Center, 786 South Main St., Middletown

This workshop will provide a case study highlighting challenges and lessons learned about the innovative partnership between two Rhode Island public libraries, various community organizations and higher education, as part of Adult Lifelong Learning (ALL) Access, a grant-funded initiative through the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).  Learn how they created a four-tiered model for addressing digital literacy, adult education and workforce development needs in libraries.

As a result of this workshop, attendees will be able to:

·        Recognize the potential for the library’s role in workforce development and adult education.

·        Employ a user-centered and connected learning perspective in evaluating their current programs.

·        Evaluate how ALL Access approaches can be applied to their work.

·        Establish connections with colleagues for further collaboration.

Free; registration is required.
