Don’t forget – our Giveaway Days are next week at Middletown and the week after that in Willimantic! See attached flyer for exact dates and times.

Before you head on over, please be aware of a few ground rules:

· Public, academic, and school library staff are welcome to partake in Giveaway Days. Be sure to sign up for an account while you are here if you don’t have one already!

· The giveaway days are first come, first served. There is no limit to the number of items that can be taken by any one library. You can call the service center first to see if any items are left within a certain item type or collection. However, we cannot give you updates on individual titles.

· You must bring your own bags or boxes to carry the items you take.

· You must add the giveaway items to your library’s collection – they cannot be taken for personal use or for sale of any kind.

· You must cover any MLSC/WLSC or State Library property labels on the item with your own property label or other information. Blank labels are fine, as long as our property info is covered.

· You must cover our barcode with your own barcode.

· You may only take and keep items from shelves which are clearly marked “Giveaway”.  Other MLSC/WLSC items may be borrowed and checked out to your library account per usual

· Items will not be held here for later pickup – they must be taken with you.
