Hi Michele,
We are 1:1 Chromebooks and our tech department has solved the printing problem.  I cannot speak to the technical details, but students send print jobs to a print server.  Then they approach one of several printers around the building and scan their student ID cards under a barcode scanner.  The printer then releases their jobs.  The system works every time.  If students don't have their cards, they come to the library to use one of our computers and print from there.

Hello all -

A question for those of you who use Chromebooks. We are replacing computer labs with Chromebooks next year and are not a 1:1 school. Teachers still want students to be able to print documents, and here is where I'd love your feedback. Has anyone had success with getting Chromebooks to print to a networked printer?

Thanks for your responses. This is part of my research homework for a technology meeting I'll be attending. :)
