My recent query about whether or not elementary school library media specialists grade prompted 15 districts to respond to me.

Thank you to all who responded!  If you haven't yet replied, I'd still  love to hear from you! So far, more LMS's do not grade then grade. 

As I stated in my original post, it is hard to move toward a vision of a 21st century library program - with tech skills integrated into the library media curriculum - when the LMS is expected to grade all students.. Grading is labor intensive and takes time away from working with individual students when they visit the library. Grading also impacts the time available for learning and teaching/implementing new technologies with students as well as collaborating with teachers.
