Hi Jenny,

You can try our statewide catalog, findIT CT https://finditct.org/ .  When you go to the catalog, choose the Advanced Search.  From there you can select the language from a drop-down box and even choose an Audience (e.g. juvenile, pre-adolescent, etc.).  You can just click the search button without entering any search terms to see what libraries may have in that language.  Hope this helps a bit.

Subject: [CASL-L] Spanish speaking 4th grader

Hello all -

We have a new student from Spain this year and we are looking for resources!

Does the state library or anywhere else have books written in Spanish that would be appropriate for a 4th grader?

Are there instructional materials, such as a math book, written in Spanish, that we can borrow from somewhere?

Is there a good translator, besides Google translator, that the classroom teacher can use to help explain concepts?

Thank you in advance for any help!

Jenny
