Hello everyone,

I just wanted to follow up on this post from Melissa. CLC is now partnering with the New England Maker Summit: “Why Making Matters” - and we have arranged for a $10 discount for CLC members. The discount applies to either the early bird or regular price. If you register by 10/17 with our code, you’ll pay just $25 for the summit, which includes dinner and some exciting high-profile speakers.

We have a page up on our website where you can learn more about the summit and why we’re excited about it:

http://www.ctlibrarians.org/event/makersummit16

From here, if you’re a CLC member you can log in with your CLC username and password to obtain your promo code for the discount.

Of course, there is a lot of information available on the official event page, http://www.nemakersummit.io/.

We hope to see many of you at University of Hartford on November 17!

Subject: [CASL-L] Making Matters Summit coming to Hartford!

Good Morning!

I wanted to share a flyer that has just came out advertising the 1st Annual Making Matters Summit.  It is being organized by MakerspaceCT and it is the hope that The New England Maker Summit becomes an event that happens every year.

It is being held on Thursday, November 17th from 2:00-8:00 pm at The University of Hartford.  I have been fortunate enough to be part of the planning committee and I am excited about the list of speakers--especially the founder of Make Media, Dale Dougherty.

The cost is only $35.00 if you register by October 17th.  http://NEMakersummit.io

Feel free to print off and/or distribute this flyer far and wide!  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Have a great day!
