Lisa,

My school also decided to go with NoodleTools this year. I also am pleased with NoodleTools so far. We use it with grades 3 - 9. (My school is K - 9)

Kind regards,
~Valerie

Thanks to those who weighed in right away – if I had been paying attention at the start of semester I would have seen that Noodletools is the program of choice for school libraries – and that is very helpful for us to know!

We should be maintaining transferability of citation tools for our 18 and 19 year olds, for the sake of familiarity.

I will look into Noodletools.

I got rid of EasyBib and went to Noodletools. So far so good. It has been a learning experience for students but for the most part a positive one. Nothing is truly free!

Good afternoon, colleagues,

I am sure Tunxis is not alone in the EasyBib conundrum.

·         First they were sold to Chegg and it was going to be free, but rife with advertising.  We could live with that, actually.

·         Then, when the semester began, MLA was free but APA was not there until you opted for their $9.99 per month fee (which the State would never agree to).

·         Then, everything came back for free.  And MLA 8 was there, too!

·         Then it all went away again, but you could request a free EasyBib EDU account and get a coupon code – which would allow students to register as new users or to re-register with the coupon code.  We did that.

·         Even with the advertising… this too, seemed livable!

·         Until recently.

·         There seems to be a lag time between using the coupon code and gaining access to APA.  So, while you are touting the whole registration process to the student with hope and positivity, APA still does not come up.

·         After the student leaves, and you trying logging in again because you desperately need a reliable citation generator and you are determined to crack the code  – APA works.

Is this your experience?

Should I bag EasyBib for something better?   Like, what?

Help me, oh wise ones!  The research papers are cranking over here.
